Privacy notice
This notice covers the citationly.ai website. It is written in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to hello@citationly.ai.
What we collect
- Demo requests and emails. If you fill in the demo form, leave your email under the checker, or write to us, we keep what you send (such as your name, email, phone number and company website) in a private spreadsheet and our email, and use it only to reply and arrange a demo.
- The free checker. When you enter a website address, our server visits that website’s public pages (robots.txt, the page you entered, its sitemap and llms.txt) to show you the results. We keep a record of the website address and what the check found, with the time. We don’t record who ran the check: no IP address, no browser details. We may contact the owners of websites that were checked about our service.
- Technical data. Like every website, ours is served by a hosting provider that receives your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
What we don’t do
- We don’t use advertising cookies or sell your data.
- We don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
- Our spreadsheet is kept in Google Workspace, which stores it for us.
Client reports
Reports we prepare for clients are private to the company they’re about. They are covered by our agreement with that client, not by this notice.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@citationly.ai.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
